Try this because i'm using this on my phone and it works perfectly.
Signal indicator:
E - slow connection or no connection
H - 3g
H+ - 3.5g
H++ - 4g
The higher the better and faster. Blinking up and down arrow means connection is not stable this goes with wifi also. Take note that using DATA CONNECTION will drain your battery faster."
